The Francis Slipper Chair is a study in poised sensuality, a modern reimagining of a classic form, named for the inimitable Frances Elkins, whose interiors distilled her signature blend of classical form and modern wit. With its gently reclined back and integrated bolster, designed not as an accessory but as an essential curve, the Francis invites a kind of composed lounging.

Shown here in silk moiré, the chair plays well with light and space, equally at home in a pared-back interior or layered into something more eclectic. There is a sense of quiet drama to its restrained silhouette. The proportions are generous but never heavy, the mood elegant with a hint of irreverence.
