This coffee table unites the tactile depth of hand-carved lacquered wood with the cool permanence of British slate, quarried from the Lake District’s ancient stone. The top, cut from richly veined green slate, offers a natural canvas of tonal variation, each surface subtly distinct, like a landscape in miniature.

The legs are carved by hand in our workshop, their form drawing on both classical furniture joinery and architectural rhythm. Lacquered to a quiet sheen, they offer a textural counterpoint to the matte slate above.

A composition of weight and lightness, permanence and gesture, the table is designed to ground a room without dominating it.
